COMMUNITY GARDEN DAY

RESCHEDULED FOR THIS THURSDAY!!!

Due to the rain on Sunday, GARDEN DAY has been rescheduled for this Thursday, 1-7pm

Do you love to garden? Have any perennials you are willing to divide and donate? Willing to give a few hours of your day? Would you like a free seedling? If you answered YES to any of these questions than please join us at:

Uxbridge High School
Thursday, June 18th
1-7 pm

Through a generous grant from the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce and Lampin Corporation, The Uxbridge Education Foundation, and the Community Partners for Health (CHNA 6), we will work to transform the rather stark landscape in front of the high school into a beautiful garden our community can be proud of!!!

The garden will be dedicated to our late Superintendent, Daniel J. Stefanilo and, with the help of local artist Johl Delory, we will create a mosaic depicting Dan giving his notorious "high five". Included in the mosaic will be a large peace sign and we are asking citizens to stop by on the 14th to cement "a piece into the piece for peace". Our goal is not only to add curb appeal to the High School, but also to create a place where folks can destress and enjoy nature! The High School will also have the added benefit of using the garden as an outdoor classroom.

In addition the Blackstone Valley Youth Coalition will sponsor free seedlings to participants as a thank you for their time. There will be additional activities, such as face painting, cotton candy, and pizza.

We would like to know how many people to expect on the 18th so please RSVP if you think you may stop by, or if you have any questions or would like to make a donation.

Please contact Alison Dwyer at adwyer@uxbridge.k12.ma.us or 508-278-8634 x7205

Thank you and we hope to see you on the 18th !!
