Emily Lozeau
Emily prides herself on her strong work ethic,
organizational skills, and lively personality. Her accolades
include an A+ average, being ranked 5th in the Class of
2008, and recognition on the high honor roll during her four
academic years at Uxbridge High School. Moreover, it is the
pleasure that teachers express when Emily is a student in
their class that sets her apart from others; she is
consistently prepared, gives 100% effort in each assignment,
and exudes an air of positivism. Emily’s passion for the
arts is exemplified in her creative talents and her
participation in community service projects such as the
Holiday Toys for Tots and the ABC Fair at Taft Elementary
demonstrates her commitment to helping others. Soccer is
also an important aspect of Emily’s life and has awarded her
countless opportunities to travel and make friends outside
of Uxbridge. Emily is a conscientious young woman who sets
high, yet achievable goals for herself. Her confidence and
abilities set a great example for others at Uxbridge High
School.
Joshua Wright
Josh is the consummate senior. In addition to his great
energy and passion for life, Josh is involved with numerous
school and community activities. He is currently ranked #11
in the Class of 2008, maintains a solid A average, and
challenges himself academically with honors and advanced
placement courses. He has been a member of the Honor Roll
since ninth grade and was selected to the National Honor
Society where he holds the position of treasurer. Though his
academics shine, it is Josh’s enthusiasm that sets him apart
from his peers. With a smile on his face and a genuine
“hello” to greet anyone, one will find Josh actively
participating in the Student-Mentor program as Lead Mentor,
as well as in the Environmental and Travel clubs, and in the
past on the track and cheerleading teams. Josh assisted
staff members in the creation of a community profile video
used during the NEASC accreditation visit this fall where he
was also selected as a student guide and interview
participant. Josh is the Class of 2008 Historian and is a
bank teller at a local bank. Additionally, Josh volunteers
his time at church festivals, First Night, and various other
community outreach programs. He is a responsible, mature,
motivated young man who is a wonderful role model for our
younger students.
