Anna Slanda

Anna Slanda is a quiet, unassuming girl who has done very well for herself at Uxbridge High School. Academically, Anna supports a solid A- grade-point average and has achieved honor roll status every semester. She has challenged herself with honors and AP level courses, and through her academic successes has found a desire to pursue a major in Elementary Education next year. Anna is actively involved in the UHS Environment Science Club and has received recognition at the Massachusetts Environthon Contest placing second for her “Riverbend Ecostation” and fifth for her “Acting Locally for Climate” projects. She has also participated on the cross-country and track teams in past years. To service her community, Anna has spent time volunteering at the Uxbridge Town Library and has traveled north to Maine to assist in the needs of children with life threatening diseases at Camp Sunshine. Anna walks the hallways of Uxbridge with kindness and grace. For this, she is respected by her classmates and members of the faculty for her positive, non-judgmental persona.

Andrew Groth

Andrew Groth is an example of a first-class person. He prides himself on his work ethic, his competitiveness, his loyalty, and his dependability; all traits of which he demonstrates daily inside and outside the classroom. Andrew is committed to giving the extra effort to see that he achieves his goals. His academic record shines by pursuing numerous honors level courses, receiving highest honor roll status every semester, and ranking 12th in the senior class. Athletically, Andrew has found successes on the basketball court, a sport he plans on continuing in college, receiving both league and divisional accolades since sophomore year. Additionally, his talents have been instrumental in the accomplishments of the football, baseball, and golf teams of which he has been a member. However, it is his respectful character that truly sets him apart from others. His “attention to details” and “willingness to extend himself” sets such a positive tone and atmosphere. Andrew’s personality and achievements have made an impact at Uxbridge High School that will be remember for quite some time.
