UHS Senior of the Month

October 2007

Melissa Harris

Melissa deserves the honor of Senior of the Month because she exemplifies Spartan Pride. Melissa is captain of the cross country team and also plays basketball and softball for Uxbridge. She is a “spirited leader” who has the ability to transform a gymnasium filled with students into a room filled with fun, laughter, and character. Melissa is conscientious, caring of others, responsible, and energetic. She is a strong academic student who is able to find a good balance between her activities and her
classwork. She is a diligent worker, which is evident both in the classroom and on the athletic field. Melissa is an active member of the UHS Student Council and was a peer mentor her junior year. Melissa is well-respected by her peers and the UHS faculty. She has a way to make the halls at Uxbridge High School a bit brighter and a bit happier.

Austin Sahagian

Austin is a well-liked student at Uxbridge High School. He is respectful of his surroundings and of students and faculty alike. He always has a bright smile to compliment the “hello” which is on the tip of his tongue. Austin is very polite and willing to give his help whenever it is needed. He has been part of the peer-mentoring program for two years and has been a member of the soccer, tennis and golf teams. He participates in the Toys for Tots Holiday Celebration and is involved with Student Council. Austin has to work hard to find success in academics and his effort pays off in the long run. Austin is a wonderful, responsible person who brings great energy to all he does. Uxbridge High School is fortunate to have Austin Sahagian.
