The Attic Children's Museum

The Attic Children’s Museum (CLICK HERE >>  for a pdf version of our flyer) is a hands-on, interactive museum geared to elementary and middle school aged children. The exhibits and concept boards are created and maintained by the high school students through the Explore and Discover elective class. The materials at the museum align with the district’s curriculum and the MA State Frameworks and touch upon topics in science, math, history, geography, culture, and the arts.

Some of our permanent exhibits include:

• Giant Spyrograph
• Interactive Water Wheel
• Microscopes
• Bubble Area
• Dinosaur Area

And lots of concept boards that cover topics such as:

• Colors and shapes
• Electricity
• Music and Sound
• Locks

In addition to a visit to the museum, consider having your child’s birthday party with us. For more information contact Karin Knapik at 508.278.0553.

Hours:

The museum is currently open to the public every Saturday from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and to groups by appointment. Schedule a visit for your class, home schooled students, or daycare children!

Location and Direction:

We are located in the Bernat Mill, off of Route 16 in Uxbridge.

If coming from the east take Route 16 into Uxbridge. After passing St. Mary’s church on your left watch for Depot Street and the Bernat Mill Complex. Take a left into the complex (just before the large mosaic murals on the brick wall). The Attic Children’s Museum is located straight ahead, above the Uxbridge Youth Center.

If coming from the west, take Route 16 into Uxbridge and then a right onto Rt. 122 at the lights, and an immediate left back onto Route 16 (at the Mobile Station). Almost immediately on your right look for the large mosaics on the brick wall and take a right immediately after into the Bernat Mill Complex. The Attic Children’s Museum is located straight ahead, above the Uxbridge Youth Center.
