A portion of the Uxbridge Public School's community
enrichment program was housed at the Bernat Mill and was
displaced due to fire in July 2007.
The Attic Children’s Museum will now be located on the
bottom floor of the red building at 111 S. Main Street. We
are in the process of getting the space renovated and could
use volunteers! We hope to have the Museum back up and
running for both school and public use before the end of the
year.
If you are interested in helping please contact Karin
Knapik.
The Attic Children’s Museum (CLICK HERE >>
for a pdf version of our flyer) is a hands-on,
interactive museum geared to elementary and middle school
aged children. The exhibits and concept boards are created
and maintained by the high school students through the
Explore and Discover elective class. The materials at the
museum align with the district’s curriculum and the MA State
Frameworks and touch upon topics in science, math, history,
geography, culture, and the arts.
Some of our permanent exhibits include:
• Giant Spyrograph
• Interactive Water Wheel
• Microscopes
• Bubble Area
• Dinosaur Area
And lots of concept boards that cover topics such as:
• Colors and shapes
• Electricity
• Music and Sound
• Locks
In addition to a visit to the museum, consider having your
child’s birthday party with us.
