CONGRATULATIONS TO UHS FOOD SERVICE MANAGER STEPHANIE
BARSTOW!!!
I am so pleased
to announce that Stephanie Barstow has been awarded the
Louise Sublette Award of Leadership Excellence from the
School Nutrition Association of Massachusetts!
This award is based on a special
project or initiative that a school food service manager
comes up with and sees through. Stephanie chose to do a
weekly email newsletter for our UHS students, featuring
news from the cafeteria, nutrition info and other fun
activities.
Please commend Stephanie for this
terrific honor. We are very fortunate to have her on our
staff, and I am so proud of her accomplishments!

The week of May 6th is Teacher
Appreciation Week, but it is also School Nutrition Employee
Week. I can't think of a better time to recognize the
following food service employees who have recently received
their certification from the School Nutrition Association.
These ladies voluntarily attended
classes in nutrition and food safety, on their own time, to
be eligible for certification. It demonstrates their
dedication and commitment to their profession of child
nutrition for the students of Uxbridge Schools.
These professionals juggle many
responsibilities each day - from meeting complex nutrition
standards to following strict food safety requirements and
making the school cafeteria a fun and welcoming place. They
make our program shine!
Please join me in congratulating the
following individuals, and be sure to thank all of the food
service staff for their hard work!

fact, 85% of our staff is Servsafe certified, which far
surpasses the (1) per kitchen required by the food

economical, and healthy School Meals. And so you can enjoy
