The Uxbridge Public Schools Special
Education Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a state mandated
advisory group that provides input to the School Committee
as well as information and support to parents and guardians
about the special education processes and programs offered
to students from age 3 to transition (age 22).
We are a system-wide organization of parents, teachers and
administrators working in partnership to promote an
innovative educational environment where students with
disabilities have equal access to educational opportunities,
while ensuring that our schools are safe, healthy and
challenging learning environments for all children.
This organization provides access to relevant resources,
laws, regulations and activities that impact special
education in this community and across the state.
The USEPAC will be holding monthly
meetings the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the
Whitin Library. Our first meeting for the 2010-2011 school
year will be September 8, 2010.
