The Uxbridge High School Mosaic Studio
Programming staff members:
The Mosaic Studio is a two-tier program
designed to benefit those students, between the grades of 7th and
10th, who have yet make a personal investment in their education.
The goal of this program is to supply these students with the
tools to become successful once they return to a full day course
load at their respective school. Students are introduced to the
program through a team evaluation, which takes into account
disciplinary infractions, attendance, and grades. From this point
the student is placed into one of the two-tiers.
The first tier represents students who are transitioning into the
Uxbridge Public Schools either from an out of district placement
or from another location. These students are only at the Mosaic
Studio for part of the day while taking class at Uxbridge High
School. These students receive academic support services,
individual and group counseling sessions and take part in
pre-vocational classes.
The second tier represents students who have the need for a more
specialized type of academic instruction. These students will take
the core of their academic courses at the Mosaic Studio, which
offer smaller group instruction. In addition to their course work,
students receive individual and group counseling sessions and also
take part in pre-vocational classes. Students have the option of
participating in a work-study program in order to gain valuable
work place experience.
