TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION DEPARTMENT MISSION
STATEMENT
The Technology Education program
allows students to study the technological aspects of our
society in addition to providing opportunities for students
to express themselves in respect to their abilities,
interests and talents. This program also provides for the
study of Computer Technologies with a focus on software
applications. Some of the goals include 1) to develop an
awareness of technology and be responsible in making their
assessments and understanding of technology and its effect
on individuals, society, and the environment, 2) to develop
problem solving skills and utilize the design process, 3)
demonstrate an understanding of technological systems,
production and services which provide for our society, 4) to
demonstrate an understanding of technologies and its
relationship with many different disciplines, 5) to allow
for the student to sample/or develop many technological
skills and knowledge required for job entry.
