to the UHS Parents for a Safe Graduation - 2008!


We are  meeting on Wed. May 14th in Room 006 in the High School @ 7:00 p.m. There is only 4 more weeks until graduation!!!

 Reminder - You must sign up by May 6th to play in the May 18th Golf Tournament Fundraiser!!

Thank you to everyone who helped support this important fundraiser for the class of 2008.  The winners are:

* * SENIOR PARENTS - YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!!! * *

We are looking for parents to volunteer to staff many of the events during the celebration on June 7th.  We are asking parents to volunteer for 2 hour assignments.  The time slots are either 11:30 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. or 1:30 a.m. - 3:30 a.m.  If you are interested in volunteering your time, please contact Kim Parker at 508-278-5784 or at dandkparker@rcn.com.   We also need donations of cases of water, cans of soda, gatorade, nachos and salsa, doritos, small cocktail napkins, small paper plates, plastic forks and spoons and cash donations to purchase food items.  Please contact either Kim, Darlene Manning at 508-278-5358 or yescanskio@aol.com or John Sebastiao at 508-278-6389 or JSebastiao@charter.net  for pick up or drop off the week of May 19th.


The night of Safe Graduation is first and foremost a drug and alcohol free celebration for our seniors. This party has become a tradition in Uxbridge and is eagerly anticipated each year by the graduating seniors. This all night event allows the class one last night to be together as one and reflect on their years together and the good times they have shared. As in the past seven years, this evening is planned to be a night full of fun, games, refreshments, prizes and gifts for our graduating seniors. The party provides a safe, supervised, alcohol and drug free alternative for our children, and avoids the graduation night tragedies that have become, unfortunately, so common.


If you have a child in UHS Class of 2008 we need your help and ideas, and encourage your involvement as this is an event for every child in the graduating class.

May 18th - Golf Tournament/Chicken BBQ Dinner at
                Blissful Meadows Golf Club. Please call
                Engel Burkart  @ 278-0038 or
                Tom Groth 278-5884 to either sign up or
                to volunteer.  You must sign up by May 6th to play.

May 19-23rd  - Week to drop off donations for safe graduation
                       party.

We will be needing people to help with decorations for the safe graduation party. This is something that can be done at home! If you have some time that you can help it would be greatly appreciated!!
