Typical Day in 5th Grade:
- Homeroom 7:45-8:05
- Math and Language Arts 8:06-10:20
- Lav/Locker Break 10:21-10:27
- Lunch 10:30-11:00
- 11:00-11:20 Read-Aloud Time
- 11:20-12:03 Science or Social Studies
- 12:05-12:45 Specials (Art, Computer, Health, Music,
Spanish)
- 12:45-1:30 Science or Social Studies
- 1:30-2:05 Phys. Ed. (T + F) Directed Study (M, W, +Th)
- 2:05-2:15 Locker Break and Agenda Check
- 2:15-2:25 Dismissal
Necessary Supplies:
- Blue or Black Pens
- Pencils with erasers (no mechanical pencils)
- 2 two-pocket folder
- Various notebooks (2 three-subjects, 2 one- subject)
- Colored Pencils
- Glue stick and scissors (Optional)
- Soft pencil case
- Tissues
Summer Reading:
- Students should have chosen a fictional book of their
choice. Books need to be approved by the teacher.
- Be prepared to be assigned a book report on your
chosen book within the first month of school.
- Encourage your child to choose a book that interests
them!
- Make reading fun, not a chore!
