This is an exciting first year in a new school for our fifth
graders. Students will work on a team of two or three teachers
for language arts, math, social studies, and science.
They will also have classes in art, computers, health, music,
and Spanish on a rotating basis throughout the year. Students
will have two physical education classes per week.
Students are given an agenda for daily use to help develop
organizational skills and to help lay the foundation for good
study skills.
Students will have a variety of after school activities and
programs to choose from that will enhance their middle school
experience. Intramurals, Student Council, Newspaper Club,
Robotics, Chorus, Band, and many other activities will be
available for interested students. We encourage all 5th graders
to try something!
We’re looking forward to an enjoyable year with our students. We
encourage all families to get involved ~ our Whitin PTO welcomes
all.
