    We are coming into the 22-23 school year and want to make sure that your devices are protected!

    We have partnered with Worth Ave again to offer our Uxbridge families insurance at the best price available. Coverage for 1 year is $31, 2 years $56, and 3 years for $75. Once you sign up, leave the rest to us! We will provide a loaner device during repairs, handle shipping & receiving, and follow up on emails with the vendor.  

    Included in the pdf attached, you will find the coverage breakdown. We have found that families who utilized insurance last year saved a significant amount. Basically, 1 simple repair (keyboard, audio jack) on a non-insured device is the full cost of 1 year coverage with Worth Ave. Please be mindful that there are some exclusions due to intentional damage, or extreme neglect that can void your insurance policy.

    Taft Summer Update:

    To the parents of all students at Taft Elementary School (Grades K-3):

    Your child will need to return their Uxbridge Public School issued Chromebook before the summer break. Their teacher will be collecting them in class over the next several days. Please be certain to have them bring the Chromebook, case and charger. We will be fully cleaning and testing all devices during the break. They will be handed back out to the students in class by their teachers on the first day of school.

    For remote students:

    You will need to drop off your child’s Uxbridge Public School issued Chromebook (including case and charger) to the main office at Taft between the hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.

    If we find a problem during testing with the Chromebook assigned to your child:

    We will contact you by phone or email with an explanation of what problem was found and what is entailed in repairing it (including any costs associated with the repair). We will fix or replace the Chromebook and will follow up with you when the repair is complete. The Chromebook Insurance is in effect over the summer, so if you paid for insurance it will cover any accidental damage found. 

    New insurance sign-ups will be available in the fall. 

    We highly recommend that you take advantage of this service. The cost of the insurance is typically less (significantly so in the case of a screen replacement) than the cost of a single repair to a Chromebook. Watch for the email with a link to the insurance company’s Online Sign Up Form prior to the start of the new school year.

    If you are transferring your child out of the District in the fall:

    You must return the Chromebook to the Uxbridge Public Schools before you leave. Failure to do so will result in a charge for the replacement of the device.

    If your child is moving up to Whitin Middle School in the fall:

    An Uxbridge Public School issued Chromebook will be waiting for them in class on their first day at their new school.

    Please note this is only for students K-3, Grades 4+ are keeping their devices!
