Additional Guidance on Masking Requirements
On Friday, February 25, the CDC provided additional guidance on masking requirements. Part of that guidance included updated information on masking on public buses, including school buses.

After consulting with medical experts and state health officials, on February 9, 2022, the DESE Commissioner announced his decision not to renew the state mask requirement after it expires on February 28, 2022.

“Updates to isolation and quarantine guidance. As many of you know, the CDC recently made changes to their guidance related to COVID-19 isolation and quarantine durations. The Department of Public Health (DPH)has updated the state-wide guidance which includes a reduction of the required isolation period for COVID-19 positive individuals in K-12 schools to 5 days (from 10 days in current guidance), effective immediately."

ESSER III Grant Meeting - Change in Date
Change in Date: School Committee Chair Matt Keane, and Superintendent Dillon will be hosting a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, September 21 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. to answer questions related to the Federal ESSER III Grant funding. The grant represents one time funding to Uxbridge Public Schools designed to assist the school district in navigating the impact of the pandemic on academic and social and emotional development of our students.
