Dear Whitin Families,
The following is the update for the week of June 12, 2022
Band and Chorus concerts: June 14th
Grade 5: Band and Chorus concert:
Tuesday, June 14th 1:10 PM in the Whitin Cafeteria.
Families are permitted to attend. Families will be allowed into the school starting at 1:00PM. You may enter through the front doors of the school only.
Grade 6 & 7 Band and Chorus concert:
Tuesday, June 14th 6:30 PM in the Whitin Cafeteria
Families are permitted to attend. Families will be allowed into the school starting at 6:15PM. You may enter through the front doors of the school only.
Whitin Intermediate School Field Days will be held this week on June 15th and June 16th. Any parents/guardians/caregivers interested in volunteering, please sign up through our Sign Up Genius. You must have a valid CORI on file to volunteer

From our School Librarian, Ms. Roche:
No School: Monday, June 20th: Juneteenth
Last day of school: Thursday, June 23rd ½ day
Bus Registration for the 2022/2023 school year: Bus registration for 2022-2023 school year is now open. Register online at www.uxbridgeschools.com under Departments, Bus Transportation. There will be no bus changes accepted after August 22nd. There will be a 2 day notice for all bus changes.
Looking ahead to the end of the year activities:
June 15th: Grade 6 & 7
June 16th: Grades 4 & 5
7th grade send off: Wednesday, June 22nd
Other events are still being planned. We will update this list as the details are finalized. \
School nurse information:
Our interim school nurse is Annemarie Plante. Annemarie will be communicating directly with parents when a student is sick or visits the nurse. However Nurse Becky will continue to oversee Ms. Plante and the nurse’s office at Whitin. Feel free to contact Nurse Becky if you have any questions or concerns: firstname.lastname@example.org
If your child has any of the following symptoms, regardless of vaccination status, please keep them home from school and contact your school nurse and pediatrician.
COVID-19 symptoms list (as of 8/18/21):
- Fever (100.0° Fahrenheit or higher), chills, or shaking chills
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- New loss of taste or smell
- Muscle aches or body aches
- Cough (not due to other known cause, such as chronic cough)
- Sore throat, when in combination with other symptoms
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea when in combination with other symptoms
- Headache when in combination with other symptoms
- Fatigue, when in combination with other symptoms
- Nasal congestion or runny nose (not due to other known causes, such as allergies) when in combination with other symptoms
