Uxbridge Public Schools Welcomes New Director of Pupil Services
Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Frank Tiano, is pleased to announce that Ms. Jennifer Ramsdell will serve as the next Director of Pupil Services for the Uxbridge Public School District. She will begin her tenure on July 1, 2020.
Ms. Ramsdell was chosen from a strong pool of 31 applicants to replace Interim Director Ms. Margo Austein. She will be joining the Uxbridge Schools Central Administration from the Taft Early Learning Center where she has served as Preschool Director, Out of District Coordinator (K-7), Team Chairperson (Pre K and K), and Extended School Year Coordinator. Ms. Ramsdell has spent her entire career servicing the needs of special education students and their families in a variety of teaching and leadership roles and looks forward to continuing that service in a broader capacity. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gordon College and a Master of Science in Education from Simmons College.
“I am grateful for the efforts of our school and district administrators along with the teachers, staff, and parents who patiently participated in this process during this time of closure,” said Dr. Frank Tiano, Superintendent of Schools. “This is an important position for any school district and in her time with us in Uxbridge, Ms. Ramsdell has demonstrated the knowledge, experience and dedication to our learners that we believe will serve our community for years to come.” Ms. Ramsdell will spend the next two months transitioning with Ms. Austein into her new position.
