Professional Development
To support educators in continually growing their practice and in meeting the requirements for license renewal, The Uxbridge Public Schools offers district-wide, school-based and individual professional development activities.
The Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP)
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s license renewal process requires all educators to work collaboratively with their district to develop an Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP) for continued growth and development. This IPDP must be aligned with the educational needs of the school and/or district and enhance the ability of the educator to improve student learning. Educators who are employed in a Massachusetts public school may elect to use the professional practice goals established under their Educator Plan for license renewal, or in combination with the professional learning goals in their IPDP. If applicable, educators may be able to use activities completed under the Educator Plan towards meeting the requirements for renewal of any Professional level licenses employed under.
