The course offerings of the Family & Consumer Science Department are aligned with the National Family & Consumer Science curriculum standards. Classes are designed to assist the student in identifying and setting realistic personal and postgraduate goals. They also support the goals of the school to career initiative. Classes provide the student with the tools to integrate knowledge, skills and practices that will empower them to make informed career choices. Various hands on classroom and community service learning opportunities help our students to develop problem solving skills that will enable them to become actively involved in the world around them, thereby equipping them to confidently face the challenges of the 21st century.
