  • The Taft Early Learning Center Integrated Preschool Program is designed to meet the needs of children who are developing within normal limits as well as children who have been identified with special needs. Our classes are multi-age, standards based, and are taught by a dual certified Preschool Teacher in both Early Childhood and Special Education. The public school calendar is followed. Parents provide their own transportation. 

    The preschool program offers a variety of half-day and full-day classes for 3 and 4-year-olds. All classes are mixed age. Tuition rates are indicated below. If your child is selected, you will be contacted and a $50 non-refundable deposit is required to hold the spot. Please note that current Preschool students have already committed to their slots and do not need to complete a lottery application.     In order to submit a lottery application, the following condition must be met:

    Your child must be at least three years of age by August 31, 2023 for the 2023-2024 school year.

    Application Deadline: Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 

    Children will be selected by lottery to fill the openings in each class on Friday, March 3rd, 2023. 

    Successful applicants will be notified by mail by March 17th.

    If your child is offered a slot through the lottery, you will need to Register your child and submit a signed 2023-24 school year Preschool Contract*. Registration consists of: completing an online registration packet on www.Familyid.com, submitting the child’s birth certificate, three proofs of residency (utility bill or cable bill AND property tax statement, mortgage agreement or lease, AND a photo ID) and updated immunizations.

    *In order to receive a 2023-24 Preschool contract (to reserve your child's slot in our Preschool), all required steps of registration need to be completed.

    A Preschool Open House for parents and students will be held prior to the start of Preschool.
