    A special thank you to all members of our military in all branches past and present! Thank you for serving our country and protecting our freedoms!

    This week at Taft:
    Friday, November 15th - ½ day, Dismissal begins at 11:30 am.
    Parent Teacher Conferences - November 13th in the evening and November 15th in the afternoon

    Donate A Book:
    Thank you to all the generous Taft families who have supported our Donate-A-Book program. Because of your support we will be adding an amazing 57 new books to the Taft Library. Keep your eye out for another round in January and help us reach our goal of 100 new books this year!

    Friday, November 8th - ½ day, Dismissal begins at 11:30 am.
    Social-Emotional Learning - 5 Core Competencies
    SEL (Social - Emotional Learning) is a big buzz but what does it really mean. There are 5 core competencies for social-emotional learning: Self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.

    Thursday, October 31st will be BLACK and ORANGE day. We do not allow costumes for Halloween, but please join us by having some fun with Black and Orange:)

    A huge thank you to the PTO for a fantastic Old Fashioned Halloween Costume Party Friday night. We would also like to thank Dean Hirtle from High Hoops for $1000 donation.

    PTOs - Old Fashioned Halloween Costume Party - Friday, October 25th from 6-8 pm, Sensory Sensitive Time from 5:30-6 pm
    Item drop off for Old Fashioned Halloween - pumpkins and baked goods 6 am - 4 pm.
