Uxbridge Public Schools will be collecting school choice applications from now through the start of the school year. There will be two approval dates for school choice students prior to the beginning of the school year. The two approval dates are:

    June 19, 2020 - Deadline for applications June 18, 2020, by 3:30 p.m.

    August 27, 2020 - Deadline for applications August 26, 2020, by 3:30 p.m.

On April 22, 2020 the Uxbridge School Committee voted to continue with the  School Choice program and to allow the following number of school choice seats to be open for the 2020-2021 school year:

Kindergarten through Grade 7: Seats available = 5 seats per grade level

Grade 8 through Grade 12: Seats available = 10 seats per grade level

Should there be more student applications than school choice seats available, a random drawing will be held on the approval dates. School choice applications will be accepted and processed on a first come, first served basis after August 27 until September 30. Only current Uxbridge students moving during the school-year will be eligible to remain through school choice given that seats are available.

Please complete the School Choice application on this website and forward it to the Superintendent's office.

What is School Choice?

  • The School Choice Program allows students from Massachusetts' towns other than Uxbridge to attend the Uxbridge Public Schools. The School Choice Program is only available for non-residents, as determined by the Department of Education. Transportation to Uxbridge will be the responsibility of the parent. The number of students admitted will be based on space availability.
