Healthy and Clean School Buildings

Uxbridge Public Schools has utilized the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Schools for Health risk reduction strategies for reopening schools as well as the most recent Department of Elementary and Secondary Education guidance to prepare for the return of our students and staff in September.

The Harvard report acknowledges that although the information is intended to help district and school leaders, it is unlikely schools can implement all the ideas included in the guide given resources and context, nor is that necessary to create an effective reopening plan. Because internal and external conditions and contexts may evolve over time, the Space and Building Assessment Guide checklist is meant to be used throughout our planning process to update plans as necessary.

Our schools are cleaned by ABM custodians, a conscientious team of well-trained, environmentally aware cleaning professionals. Our daily school cleaning procedure booklet  and contract with ABM provide cleaning details and other pertinent information.
