Uxbridge Special Education Parent Advisory Council

What is USEPAC?

We are a volunteer group of family members of children with disabilities or special learning needs. We educate, support and exchange ideas and information with each other while collaborating with school professionals and administrators for the best educational experience and outcomes for our children. Every parent/guardian of students who receive special education services (504 or IEP) is welcome to join our group. We also welcome students who are self-advocates starting at age 14.
Every public school district in Massachusetts is required to establish a SEPAC. Massachusetts state law assigns both an advisory and participatory function to SEPACs.
In addition, the Uxbridge SEPAC serves as an advisor to the School Committee on matters that pertain to the education and safety of students with disabilities. The SEPAC has a duty to meet regularly with school officials to participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the district’s special education programs.

  • Our monthly meeting is the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. All meetings are hybrid (zoom and in-person at UHS Library). We have childcare available at most meetings, thanks to our UHS Student Council students. Our meetings typically include a special education district update as well as time for confidential support, advice and brainstorming. We are here to support you.

  • If you would like to join the USEPAC or have questions, please email us at UxbridgeSEPAC@gmail.com. You can also find us on Facebook or attend a meeting. Together we can help each other and our children get the most of their education in Uxbridge while supporting one another.
