Express Your Interest: Search Committee / Director of Pupil Personnel Services

Posted Date: 06/12/26 (03:10 PM)

Dear Uxbridge Colleagues and Community Members,

I am writing to invite you to help shape one of the most important hiring decisions our district will make this year. Uxbridge Public Schools is forming a search committee to select our next Director of Pupil Services, the leader who oversees special education, coordinates our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and guides the student services that so many of our families rely on.

A strong committee reflects our whole community. We are seeking a range of voices; teachers (general and special education, at both the elementary and secondary levels), building and central office administrators, school psychologists, adjustment counselors and other mental health professionals, related service providers, preschool staff, and community members. If you bring perspective and care to this work, we want to hear from you.

Serving requires a real commitment. To be considered, you must be available for BOTH of the following:

• Organizational Meeting:  Tuesday, June 16, 2026, 1:30–3:30 PM
• First Round Interviews:  Monday, June 22, 2026, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM (specific times will be scheduled)

A second round of interviews will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, for a smaller group of committee members; participation in that round is optional and will be determined after the first round. If you are unable to commit to Tuesday, June 16th and Monday, June 22nd, then please hold your interest for a future opportunity.

To express your interest, please complete this brief form by 5:00 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2026:

We will review all submissions and contact selected committee members by Sunday evening at 8:00 PM, ahead of the Tuesday organizational meeting. If you have any questions about the position or the search process, please reach out to me directly.

Thank you for your willingness to invest in our students and in the future of Uxbridge Public Schools.

Warmly,

Dave Ljungberg, Superintendent
Uxbridge Public Schools
