Good morning, Uxbridge Families!
This is just a reminder that the Chromebook Insurance portal is open, but the deadline to purchase that insurance is coming up fast. The portal will be open until the end of the day on Thursday, October 15th, so if you've been thinking about getting the insurance, now would be the time. Here are the necessary details from the previous post:
Worth Ave Insurance Group
For those families interested, the Worth Ave. Chromebook Insurance is once again available and can be accessed at this link: Worth Ave Insurance Portal. The deadline to sign up is before the end of the day on October 15th.
Every student in Uxbridge, grades K-12, has received a Chromebook to use for educational purposes. These devices are the property of the Uxbridge Public Schools, and families are responsible for the cost of repairs should the device suffer damage. The cost of the annual premium almost always proves to be lower than the cost to repair a broken screen or keyboard. The insurance covers the following repairs: accidental damage, cracked screens, spills and liquid submersion, fire/flood/natural disaster damage, power surge, vandalism, and theft.
Families have the option to purchase a one-year ($33), two-year ($58), or three-year term ($78). As mentioned before, the cost of the premium is significantly less than the cost of device repairs in most cases. A screen replacement (one of our most common repairs) can cost up to $100. Keyboard replacements (our most common repair) cost up to $40.
Please see the attached flier for additional information.
Thank you and have a great week!
