  • FERPA or the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act is a federal law that affords parents the right to have access to their children’s education records, the right to seek to have the records amended, and the right to have some control over the disclosure of personally identifiable information from education records.     FERPA Notification: 

    If you do not want Uxbridge Public Schools to disclose any or all of the types of information designated below as directory information from your child’s education records without your prior written consent, you must notify the school in writing by October 1 of the current school year. Please submit formal requests directly to the student’s school office personnel. Please be advised that submitting an opt-out request means Uxbridge Public Schools cannot publish directory information in any environment, including but not limited to sports rosters, yearbooks, performance programs, award notifications, etc.

    Uxbridge has designated the following information as directory information:

    • Student’s name

    • Address/Phone number

    • School email address

    • Student Grade

    • Homeroom / Classroom Teacher

    • Participation in school sports or activities

    • Honors and awards

    • Dates of attendance

    • Date and place of birth

    • Weight and height of members of athletic teams

    • Photographs, including videotape

    • Yearbook photo

    • Dates of attendance

    • Honors and awards received in school

    • Degree awarded
